Mieczysław Górowski

Prof. Mieczysław Górowski (1941-2011) - Polish graphic artist. Mieczysöaw Górowski studied at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts 1959-1966. He was a professor of Faculty of Industrial Design Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow. Mieczysław Górowski started designing posters in 1966 and had realised over 400 posters. Major awards: International Poster Invitational, Fort Collins, Colorado, USA 1983, first prize. International Poster Triennale, Toyama, Japan 1985, bronze medal. International Poster Salon, Paris, France - awards 1986 and 1987. International Art Directors Club Exhibition, New York, USA 1987, award. International Biennale of the Poster, Mexico 1992, first prize in the category "America today, 500 years later."
